A three booklet series on the politics of French dress in the later 18th to early 19th century, covering the last years of the old Bourbon Monarchy, to the French Revolution, and lastly the rule of Napoleon. Differences in topics such as hairstyles, dress styles, and relevant art & examples from the period are used.
Images come from institutions with free domain image projects such as the Rjiksmuseum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Short booklets are meant to be a crash course for those who are unfamiliar with the fashion of this period & location.
Project: Research a chosen topic; apply researched content into a print publication.
